LEGO® Adventurers

This theme had the following sub-themes: Desert, Dino Island, Jungle, and Orient Expedition. These sets were appealing as a child because they were all about exploration and adventure. Johnny Thunder could go on these impressive adventurers in search for precious treasures and artifacts. The sets had great playability, and could even somewhat link back to a LEGO® town.
Owned LEGO® official sets as a child
I bought some small LEGO® Adventurers sets as a child, but not many. The Lego Racers 2 (2001) videogame helped draw my attention to the LEGO® Adventurers range, as well as official LEGO® magazines. I was interesting in having unique LEGO® vehicles and minifigures.
- Jungle River 7410, released in 2003, of the Adventurers Orient Expedition theme.
- Mountain Sleigh 7423, released in 2003, of the Adventurers Orient Expedition theme.
- Black Cruiser 7424, released in 2003, of the Adventurers Orient Expedition theme.
LEGO® sets of interest
The LEGO® Adventurers range was impressive, with great playability and adventure! The range also provided vehicles which could seat two minifigures at the same time. There were many sets of this range which I would have absolutely loved as a child!
Desert Expedition 2879 was released in 1998, of the LEGO® Adventurers Desert range. This medium-sized set had a two-seater vehicle and various interesting parts.
Adventurers Car & Skeleton 2995, was released in 1998, of the LEGO® Adventurers Desert range. This small set had a two-seater vehicle, which could have been more affordable than some of the bigger sets.
Scorpion Tracker 5918, was released in 1998, of the LEGO® Adventurers Desert range. This small set was probably one of the most affordable two-seater vehicles, with nice parts such as a rifle.
Island Racer 5920, was released in 2000, of the LEGO® Adventurers Dino Island range. This official set had featured in the videogame Lego Racers 2 (2001) as one of the main bosses to beat in a race, which is why it was appealing to me as a child. This was a one-seater vehicle.
